The Wait is Over! Lamborghini Huracan Performante Now in India at Rs. 3.97 Crore

The most hardcore version of the mighty Huracan lineup and the sixth member of the family, the Huracan Performante has finally made its way towards the Indian auto market at a whopping price point of Rs. 3.97 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Unveiled first at the Geneva Motor Show 2017, the supercar is given a sporty look with several race car features as it draws its inspiration from the Huracan Super Trofeo race car. With such cosmetic changes, the Huracan Performante has become the most powerful V10 till date. It is the third Lambo to be launched on the Indian soil this year, following the launch of Lamborghini Aventador S Coupe and Huracan RWD Spyder Convertible.

The heart of this performance-oriented monster is made up of a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 petrol motor that is doing its duty in other Huracans too. However, there is a slight twist. The Performante variant carries within it more punch and power in the combustion chamber, thanks to the lighter exhaust, refurbished intake and titanium valves. It produces a gigantic power of 640PS along with a massive torque of 600Nm. Mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch tranny, the combination sends power equally to the electronically controlled AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.

Designed for those who yearn for the ultimate performance, the all new Huracan Performante can sprint from 0-100Kmph in mere 2.9 seconds before achieving a top speed of 325Kmph. This figure is achievable because the company has designed the body of Huracan Performante with its proprietary forged composite carbon fiber, which has also been used for diffuser, front and rear bumper, engine cover and rear spoiler. This has also resulted in the reduction of the weight of this raging bull, which now weighs 40Kgs lighter than its previous siblings.

The powertrain is designed in such a way that at 1000RPM, nearly 70% of the engine’s grunt is available. This has enabled the baby Lambo to achieve a record figure of 6 minutes 52.01 seconds at the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap in Germany. This figure is 5 seconds and 7 seconds better than the one achieved by Porsche 918 Spyder and Lamborghini Aventador SV, respectively.

As far as the design of the Huracan Performante is concerned, the company has left no stone unturned to create the magic out of it. Though the original look of the car has been retained, the addition of the carbon fiber parts, attractive color options, and exterior features of race-spec give this monster a meaner stance. You will witness a drastic change from the rear where the addition of dual-exhaust setup, new rear grille and new high-mounted spoiler give it an extraordinary appearance.

Also, Lamborghini has added a new active aerodynamic technology, christened as Lamborghini’s Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva, which enables the sportscar to switch between the low drag setups and maximum downforce by making considerable adjustments in the front and rear flaps. The stability during the full braking and high speed cornering too has been enhanced by generating max vertical downforce, which is almost 750% more than the what is delivered by Huracan Coupe.

From the inside, the Huracan Performante’s cabin has also received the carbon fiber components, which include center console, door handles, paddles and AC vents. The new dashboard now reflects the active aero system.
