Being the top down version of the 4MATIC Coupe and an addition to the AMG portfolio of the company in the international auto show, C43 Cabriolet sets new definition of performance and style and is expected to attract many eyeballs.

Bearing resemblance to the other AMG models, C43 Cabriolet is a feast to eyes with its stunning looks and iconic AMG design. The loner rear & front apron, diamond radiator grille with chrome pins, special exhaust tailpipes and high gloss louvre in black add more to the appeal of the royal machine. The convertible has AMG 5-spoke 18-inch light-alloy wheels that are decorated with high-sheen and high-gloss finish.

The interior of the C43 AMG cabriolet looks as stunning as the exterior with the presence of AMG instrument cluster having chequered-flag design and 280Kmph scale along with the main menu of AMG. The multi-functional sports steering wheel wrapped in leather has topstitching in contrast with red and flattened bottom section. Opening or closing of the roof is just a matter of mere 20 seconds if you are driving the car at a speed of up to 50Kmph.

The powerhouse of this convertible is the same V6 bi-turbo 3.0-liter engine that glorifies the Coupe too. Even the performance report card has the same figure to that of the Coupe with a maximum churned out power of 362bhp @5,500-6,000rpm and peak torque of 520Nm @2,000-4,200rpm.

The engine is mated to a 9G-Tronic automatic tranny with double-clutching function. This function is helpful in the "Sport Plus" mode during the short response time and downshifts. With such strong figures in hand, the car can accelerate from 0-100Kmph in mere 4.8 seconds and is capable enough of attaining a top speed of 250Kmph.

At the unveiling of C43 Cabriolet, Tobias Moers, the Chairman of AMG and Chief Executive of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, said, "The AMG product portfolio will continue to grow rapidly this year, making the world of Driving Performance more diverse than ever. Our new product line continues to expand at a fast pace and, with the C 43 4MATIC Cabriolet, we are offering a younger target group yet another alternative to discover the fascinating world of AMG."

Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 Cabriolet, when launched, will compete against the likes of BMW 3 series and Audi A4 in the convertible segment.
