To top it all, all the Ola drivers will be provided with full knowledge about the cars, auto safety systems and technology by BMW certified instructors. The car buyers will be provided the cars under easy financing offers, including 100 per cent finance for a period of four years with subsidized interest rates. Under the deal, BMW will help the car buyers by providing them with after sales service and guaranteed buyback.

“The luxury segment is extremely important to us now. Although the segment is not a large chunk and bookings are not very high, margins are,” Ola official said. The agreement follows Ola’s tie-up with Mahindra and Mahindra for their Ola SUV services, announced last month.

Even after having a strong competitor in the market (Uber), Ola has managed to stay ahead in the game and keep its lead by providing cheap car ride through its Ola Micro and Mini services.

BMW Taxis will initially start out on the roads of Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai with a minimum fare of Rs. 250 and Rs. 20-22 per/km afterwards.

Ola launched its luxurious ride ‘Ola Lux’ in June this year and has over 1,000 vehicles in its luxury car segment.

BMW has joined the positions of other worldwide automakers like General Motors, Volkswagen and Toyota Motor Corp, which have tie-ups with ride-sharing organizations to prepare for a move in buyer decision far from vehicle ownership.

The higher margins and huge demand for luxury cars will help Ola benefit. This alliance will help to get a good number of luxury cars on the roads and thus increase the ridership.

It’s risk when fog settles on the windshield of the car while on road. The anti-fog spray helps in getting rid of the frost, ice and even bugs to make your ride safe.

“The way people move is changing and this is also true for the premium clientele. Individuals want quick access to mobility without compromising on quality and comfort. We are confident that this association will be a game changer in the premium on-demand mobility segment in India,” said the acting President of BMW Group India, Frank Schloeder.

The demand for app-based rides is on increase, especially in major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai et al and Ola is among those companies which are enjoying the status of being the most preferred ones. Addition of luxury rides in the option will attract more customers. Commenting on the same, Pranay Jivrajka, COO of Ola, said, “Currently, luxury cab hailing makes up only 2 percent of Ola’s revenues, but the company is planning to double that this year.”

So. ginger up all luxury car lovers out there, all your dreams of riding around in your favourite supercar coming true very soon!
