Bentley Flying Spur W12 S Unveiled; Possesses 635PS Power

Breaking the old path of going by tradition, Bentley has raised it bar from 200mph speed. The newly unveiled Bentley Flying Spur W12 S is the top-of-the-line offering from the luxury car brand, which comes with groundbreaking technology and is the first car with Flying B that has broken the barrier of 200mph (322kmph) with a top speed of 202mph (325kmph).

The sedan that can shame sports cars with its enthralling speed will sit high on the four-door lineup. No information on pricing and availability in India and other parts of the world are out yet.

If a performance based lightweight car had been in the talk, the things could have been simpler but here the talk of the town, with double the length of a full length sofa at your home, is the Bentley Flying Spur W12 S that bears a weight of 2.5 tonnes. Something one should appreciate and a reason why Bentley is the master of innovations!

To make this dream configuration come true, the engineers at Bentley had worked day night to enhance the performance of the 6-litre W12 motor to churn out a maximum power of 635PS along with a peak torque of 820Nm. This means, a lead of 10PS and 20Nm over the standard Flying Spur W12 model. The improvised power allows the all-wheel drive monster to hit an acceleration of 0-100Kmph in mere 4.5 seconds by achieving a top speed of 325Kmph. The all-wheel drive system is based at the rear and can divide the power in the ratio of 40:60.

In terms of appearance, the British carmaker has made sure to recraft the vehicle in a manner that it’s easy for a non-car lover to differentiate it from its undernourished sibling – the standard W12 S. The rear bumper, grille, window surrounds, headlight-washer caps and door-handle inserts are given a glossy black treatment to add that classy touch to the vehicle’s aesthetics.

And those who know cars in out will also be able to spot a trace of black spot on tail lamps and headlamps along with the D-pillar carrying the small ‘W12 S’ badge. And just like the any other showstopper, the massive 21-inch 7-spoke glossy black alloy wheels give a beauty touch to the luxurious sedan. The W12 S also carries resemblance to the Flying Spur V8 S in terms of glossy black door mirrors, rear diffusers and radiator matrix.

From inside, Bentley has made sure not to play with the long-lived traditional fashion of giving the handcrafted touch to the interior. Drenched in the sporty black diamond quilted leather upholstery, the cabin can also be trimmed in satin carbon fibre that is available on demand also. Bumped gearshift paddles, W12 S monikers on the scuff plates in contrast stitching and the headrest and a three-spoke ‘Sport Plus’ steering wheel are among other things that come in standard package.

For those who love to get chauffeured around in the city, a rear touchpad bearing control for infotainment system and air conditioning system is available for the rear passengers.
