If recent political events have been causing you some stress, we have news to cheer you up! Luxury brand by Toyota, Lexus, has finally entered the Indian market. The bookings have started already, but the deliveries will commence from March 2017.
The brand initially plans to unleash three models that will be launched in the Indian market, which are the Lexus RX450h, the ES300h sedan and the LX450d SUV.
Wondering what Lexus has to offer us? Instead of the 20-inch alloy wheels available internationally, the models of the cars will get 18-inch alloy wheels so as to improve the quality of the drive on the roads. These cars will be imported from Japan through CBU route and assemble somewhere in the country in the coming years.
The first Indian showroom will be inaugurated at The Taj Santacruz Hotel, Mumbai, near the domestic airport.
The fourth generation Lexus RX series is a very famous model internationally. Exhibiting their love for stunning supercars, they now introduce the all new RX 450h, the most honed Lexus ever to leave your outline studios, including hybrid power and an unmatched level of modern extravagance as standard.
The spearheading RX 450h consolidates a 3.5-litre V6 petrol motor with two electric engines, transferring consistent energy to all the four wheels. Because of the prompt torque created by the electric engines, you can quicken to 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds, while radiating only 120g/km of CO2. The engine also reaches a combined power of 308hp (230kW). According to the sources, the ex-showroom price for this model will be Rs. 1.17 crore.
This model suits the best to those people who seek relaxation while commuting rather than for those who like to have a sporty driving experience. So if you’re one of those car lovers who love comfort the most, this supercar is your soulmate. The sedan is based on the Toyota Camry sedan. It consolidates a 2.5-litre electric motor with CVT gearbox. According to the sources, the ex-showroom price for this model is Rs. 75 lakh.
The third generation Lexus LX series offers two engine options, i.e., diesel powered LX450d with a twin-turbo 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine and a massive 650Nm of torque, whereas the petrol powered SUV comes with 5.7-litre V8 engine delivering 546Nm of torque.
According to the sources, initially, the car will have the capacity to accommodate 5 people. Also, the prices for the petrol version is Rs. 2 crore (ex-showroom), whereas for the diesel version, the tag starts at Rs. 2.15 crore.
