Mini Clubman Launched in India at Rs. 37.90 and We Couldnt Be More Excited

The year 2016 is about to end but it seems like the automotive world still has few surprises for the car fanatics. Day before Mercedes-Benz launched its AMG C43 sportscar and today Mini took the highly awaited Clubman All4 out of its stable at an alluring price of Rs. 37.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As of now, only Cooper S variant will be available for the Indians.

The MINI holds a very special feeling for the Clubman and this can be cited as the reason why it has been priced aggressively as compared to the other Mini models available in the market. Where the company has tagged the Cooper hatchback with a starting price of Rs. 34.90 lakh, Countryman, on the other hand, comes with a price of Rs. 36.50 lakh, which is Rs. 1.40 lakh lesser than the Clubman.

Talking about the power source, the all new Mini Clubman All4 comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor that has also energized Cooper S convertible and Cooper S. Producing 192PS of power and 280Nm of torque, the powerhouse is mated to an 8-speed automatic tranny.

The saddest part is that where the whole world will be enjoying the all-wheeldrive system, in India, Mini Clubman will provide only front-wheeldrive option.

With a top speed of 220kmph, the Mini Clubman can freely sprint from 0-100kmph within 7 seconds, whereas the diesel variant takes 0.2 seconds more and finishes the distance in 7.2 seconds.

Akin to the parent company, BMW, Mini too pays focus on the beauty and comfortability of the interior and Clubman is not an exception to it. The retro theme is something that will attract your attention where the other host of goodies will be the cherries on the pie. Leather upholstery, electrically adjustable seats, ambient lighting, wide dashboard with 6.5/8.8-inch display with diverse display functions, central console with electric parking brake, two cupholders, self-operated air conditioning control unit, armrest and MINI Controller are some of interesting features Mini Clubman is loaded with.

The standard features include Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Performance Control, Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC) and Dynamic Damper Control (optional).

The hatchback can accommodate 4 people easily and as far as the boot space is concerned, the figure of 360 litres will solve the query. It’s only the name that is MINI else the car is blessed with more than generous proportions – 4,253mm of length, 1,800mm of width and 1,441mm of height. The wheelbase stands hefty at 2,670mm, which makes it 100mm wider than the Mini 5-door hatchback.

It is 5th product in India from the Mini’s portfolio and 2nd this year after Mini Convertible and comes with a wide range of optional equipment to make your driving full of comfort and fun and you can also give an individual touch to your beast.

Being the biggest car by the marquee, Mini Clubman does not have any direct competitors though BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi Q3 can give it a tough fight.
