Lamborghini Sets Another Record – Delivers 3245 Units in 2015

It was for the first time in 2015 that Lamborghini surpassed the figure of 3000 in delivering cars to its customers. This was a never ever achieved feat that the company achieved in 2015 when it delivered a total of 3245 car units inclusive all the models the company has for sale.

This milestone for Lambo is very important because not only this is the first for the sales team but for the product and the brand team too, as a whole.

Outstanding Sales

"In 2015, Lamborghini delivered an exceptional sales performance and new records in all key business figures, confirming the strength of our brand, product and commercial strategy. With the introduction of several new models in 2015 and a solid order bank we are well prepared for the year 2016," said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.

This number is a collective effort of 135 dealers across 50 countries where even the number of customers went up from 2530 to 3245 as compared to last year. This means a total growth of 28% for the company as a whole and that is 2.5 times the number since 2010.

"We increased sales in all our major regions with new sales records in America and Asia Pacific," continued Winkelmann. "Our biggest markets are the USA and Greater China. They are followed by Japan, UK, the Middle East and Germany, each of them registering considerable growth in 2015."

All Thanks to the POWER

A major chunk of the sales figures is because of the new 5.2-litre V10 Huracan that since its launch has been the top seller and the company too has delivered 2242 units of the same in the year 2015. This is a really big leap for the company since this figure is up 70% compared to when their top seller of all time Gallardo was launched.

Also the deliveries of the Aventador flagship across all its variants and editions clocked a figure of 1003 units which was a huge 124% increase as compared to the outgoing flagship, the Murcielago in the same period of the launch in the market.

The List is On….

Apart from this impressive sales figure from Lamborghini, there is also some exciting news related to the new Aventador SuperVeloce that has been launched in the Coupe and Roadster version and both of them have already went out of stock. That accounts to about 600 SV Coupe models and 500 SV Roadsters.

There was also the Aventador Pirelli Edition that brought two Italian giants together for a prestigious collaboration and there are still units to grabs.

Lamborghini also launched the Huracan Spyder and also a rear wheeldrive version of the Huracan, the possible next success story in the V10 family. Both these cars should be available for deliveries come spring season 2016.

Lamborghini is also working on a new Super Sports Utility Vehicle named Urus. The car is expected to arrive at the shores in 2018 and this will result in additional investment for the company as well new job openings and increase in the production capacity of the factory as a whole.

This means that come 2018, the company is all set to create yet another record breaking performance in terms of deliveries of the Lamborghini cars. This is said to be a new era in Lamborghini's history.

Apart from the rest, Lamborghini has also pledged itself on the racetrack by bringing out the new Huracan Super Trofeo that made its debut on racetracks all across the globe. Also the Huracan GT3 was presented in January and it even won the Blancpain Endurance Series in Monza in April last year.
